Today, at the National Football Base "Boyana", a cooperation agreement was signed between the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) and Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Representing the football organization were the BFU President Georgi Ivanov and the Director of Strategic Management Andrey Petrov, while the university was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Angelov, Vice-Dean of FEBA, Prof. Georgi Ignatov, and Chief Assist. Prof. Nikolay Staykov from the Department of Sports at Sofia University.

Based on the signed documents, both parties agree to assist each other in the training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of economics, management, finance, accounting and auditing, and big data analysis and modeling in business by enhancing their theoretical knowledge and developing practical skills. To achieve this goal, the parties will cooperate in updating the curricula of the disciplines taught in the bachelor's and master's programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, in line with the current needs of the business world, including the introduction of new courses and specialties.

The training process will seek to present real-world case studies and integrate them into the curriculum, offer practical presentations in the fields of economics, management, and big data modeling in business and finance. The parties also agreed to collaborate on providing student internships and visits, as well as supporting career guidance and motivation for students at FEBA.

Joint specialized training sessions, roundtables, conferences, and other events will be organized according to the needs of practice, including through the University's postgraduate qualification programs. The agreement also focuses on promoting the partnership and joint initiatives to enhance the public prestige of both parties, as well as professions in the field of finance and investments. BFU and Sofia University will also cooperate in improving the material environment of the educational process, in accordance with the needs of teaching in the areas of finance, economics, and management.
