The Institute was established on the initiative of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University by decree of the Council of Ministers No. 13 of January 24, 2019. Its main activity is to conduct scientific research in the fields of law, economics and intellectual property, with which to expand and enrich training and practice in the field; to manage the intellectual property of the University; to support the realization of the technology transfer and the economic realization of the scientific results and objects of intellectual property of the University.
