Faculty of Medicine uses its own modern auditoriums and laboratories, as well as facilities in the Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Physics, and Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Clinical disciplines are being taught in University Hospital Lozenetz and Military Medical Academy.

Medical Faculty comprises seven departments:

• Biology, Medical Genetics, and Microbiology (Head: Professor Varban Ganev, MD, PhD, DSc);
• Physics, Biophysics, and Radiology (Head: Associate Professor Genoveva Zlateva, PhD);
• Anatomy and Histology, Pathology and Forensic Medicine (Head: Associate Professor Antonina Gegova, MD, PhD);
• Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pathophysiology (Head: Professor Ivo Grabchev, PhD);
• Internal Diseases, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, Pediatrics, Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases, and Skin Diseases (Head: Associate Professor Jechka Vassileva, MD, PhD, DSc);
• Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology (Head: Associate Professor Vesselin Kojuharov, MD, PhD);
• Neurology, Psychiatry, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Preventive Medicine, and Public Health (Head: Professor Ekaterina Titianova, MD, PhD, DSc).
