The series of public lectures dedicated to entrepreneurship and leadership in the energy sector continues with an inspiring session featuring a leading practitioner from Bulgarian business.
On October 16, 2025 (Thursday), at 4:30 PM, in Room 315 of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, a lecture will be held on the topic “From Waste to Energy: The New Gold of the Circular Economy”, with guest speaker Stanislava Evtimova, Managing Director and Co-founder of “Ecosafe” Ltd. - a leading Bulgarian company specializing in waste management and the construction of waste-to-energy facilities.
With more than ten years of experience in the field, Stanislava Evtimova actively promotes sustainable practices that turn waste into an energy resource and a driver of the circular economy in Bulgaria. Guided by her belief that “real problems require real solutions”, she exemplifies visionary female leadership that transforms environmental challenges into economic opportunities.
During her lecture, Stanislava will share knowledge and practical insights on topics such as:
- The role of the circular economy and decarbonization through cross-sectoral policies;
- Alternative solutions for the energy market and the transformation of waste from a problem into an opportunity;
- Global practices and innovations in the Waste-to-Energy approach;
- The challenges facing such projects in Bulgaria;
- Women’s leadership and the human dimension of sustainability.
Stanislava Evtimova holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria, as well as a Master’s in Business Management. She also has a background in International Economic Relations and additional specializations in Building Management and Facilities and Management Skills from the Bulgarian School of Politics.
Participation in the public lecture is free of charge and open to current and former students, as well as anyone interested in the topic.
