In May 2026, the first edition of the Corporate Crisis Resilience Academy (Resilience Academy) will be launched – a new certification program dedicated to building strategic, tactical, and practical skills for managing corporate and climate crises.
The Academy is implemented in partnership between the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE) – NATO’s multinational training center in Bulgaria, and the Sustainability Specialists Association (SSA), with the special participation of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and the Rescue Club for Future (SCF).
The training will be conducted online from May 21 to June 25, 2026, over six training days, with a total of 48 academic hours. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate as a Crisis Resilience Specialist.
Program Focus
Resilience Academy is the first national program that integrates corporate resilience, climate adaptation, and crisis management into a comprehensive strategic model.
The program is aimed at professionals from business, public administration, regulatory bodies, consultants, and experts who are building capacity for sustainable operations in conditions of uncertainty and increasing climate, social, and technological challenges.
The training is delivered by established experts with academic and practical experience:

- Module 2 – Technological solutions for environmental sustainability and crisis communication – Bozhil Kondev and Boyan Zahariev – May 28, 2026
- Module 3 – ESG and climate risk management – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radostin Vazov – June 4, 2026
- Module 4 – Defense, security, and climate crises – Major Ralitsa Bakalova – June 11, 2026
- Module 5 – Climate change: risks, adaptation, and opportunities – Apostol Dyankov – June 18, 2026
- Module 6 – Best practices for private sector engagement. Practical case studies and initiatives for building crisis capacity
The program combines academic expertise, international experience, and practical case studies from real crisis situations.
