For the fourth consecutive year, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) and the Fund of Funds (FoF) have launched lectures in the elective course “European Funds and Financial Instruments”. The academic year was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty, Aleksandar Nenkov, Executive Director of the Fund of Funds, and Eng. Dr. Dochka Vasileva, Head of the “Project Planning and Institutional Cooperation” Department at the Fund, who will also be teaching the course at the Faculty.
The course introduces students to the world of financial instruments, European funds, and start-ups through real-life case studies, discussions, gamified models, and practical examples. It helps students understand how businesses and innovations are financed, how venture capital funds operate, and how successful entrepreneurial ideas are developed.
Guest lecturers include experts from the Fund of Funds, financial intermediaries, and partner organizations. Representatives from both the private and public sectors will share their experience in managing equity and debt investments, venture capital, banking finance, and ESG models.
Students will also have the opportunity to prepare for participation in the fifth edition of the competition “Best Youth Startup in Bulgaria” which will begin in January 2026.
