Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University were selected for the prestigious internship program “TV Academy” of BNT, for which more than 200 students from across the country applied this year. The selected interns are Siyana Dimitrova from the “Economics and Finance” program (French track), 2nd year, and Boyana Valcheva from the “Economics and Finance” program (English track), 3rd year. For the sixth consecutive year, the Bulgarian National Television is offering young people from various fields the opportunity to begin their practical training through the public broadcaster’s unique internship program.
On 19 November 2025, “TV Academy” opened its doors to 100 interns from six universities—Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, the University of National and World Economy, the New Bulgarian University, the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Kr. Sarafov”, the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, and the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski”. At the official opening, students were welcomed by well-known hosts from the public broadcaster, including Dobrina Cheshmedzhieva, Adelina Radeva and Daniel Mihaylov, Flora Stratieva, Dragomir Draganov, and Byulent Myumyunov.
“BNT can offer the best practical training for anyone entering the profession—from pure theory and the principles of journalism, television production, marketing, and advertising to the hands-on working models. The history that BNT has and the experience accumulated over more than 65 years are a guarantee that the students in “TV Academy” can receive the best possible start to their careers in our field”, said Anton Andonov, member of the BNT Management Board.
“TV Academy” internship programs are a special project of BNT that, for six years now, has given students the opportunity to become familiar with the real television production process. They join different teams, learn from the best in the profession, and gain valuable practical experience”, said Antoniya Nikolova, head of “TV Academy”.
In the coming months, the students will acquire knowledge, skills, and their first practical experience in eight structural units of the Bulgarian National Television: “News and Current Affairs”, “Programme Content”, “Sports”, “TV Production”, “Film and Foreign Programmes”, “Marketing and Strategic Development”, “Engineering and Technologies”.
“TV Academy” accepts students in their 2nd or 3rd year of study from the following programs: Journalism, International Relations, Economics and Finance.
