During the past semester, students from the bachelor’s programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) successfully completed the elective course “PMI Standards for Project Management”, developed in partnership with PMI Bulgaria Chapter.
As part of the course, participants studied using specially developed training materials provided by PMI Bulgaria Chapter and created by Anelia Chervenova, Ventsi Lukanov, Petya Dorovska, Slavena Dudrenova, and Svetlana Filipot. The materials are based on PMI best practices and international standards and provide students with a solid foundation in the field of project management. After successfully completing the training, the students passed a certification exam and earned the internationally recognized PMI Project Management Ready certificate.
The training was further enriched by four guest lectures and interactive practical sessions led by Anelia Chervenova, Petya Dorovska, Slavena Dudrenova, and Svetlana Philpott - representatives of PMI Bulgaria Chapter - as well as Veselin Politov and Milena Mileva - representatives of IIBA Bulgaria Chapter. They shared their professional experience, presented real-world case studies, and introduced students to current business challenges and best practices.
As a result of the joint efforts of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, PMI Bulgaria Chapter, and IIBA Bulgaria Chapter, 29 students were eligible to take the Prometric test, and 27 of them successfully earned the certificate.
We congratulate all students on their achievements and extend our gratitude to the team of Sofia University, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, IIBA Bulgaria Chapter, and PMI Bulgaria Chapter, as well as to the authors of the training materials and the guest lecturers, who contributed to the successful implementation of the course and to the development of practical skills essential for the students’ future professional careers.
