On November 5, 2025, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” will host the first international conference “Standards for a Sustainable Future”. The event is organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, in cooperation with the Association of Sustainability Specialists, Club 9000, the Association of Environmental Management Professionals, and under the auspices of the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BIS).
Registration for participation in the conference is now open. All interested participants can secure their place through the online registration form: REGISTRATION.
The forum will take place on November 5, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., in the Aula Magna of the Rectorate of Sofia University, bringing together experts and professionals from Bulgaria and abroad, representatives of regulatory bodies, academia, business, as well as young specialists and students interested in sustainability and standardization topics.
The preliminary program of the event has also been announced and includes:
- Panel discussions on the latest international sustainability standards from the ISO family;
- Conversations about the future of sustainability management in the context of global policies and corporate strategies;
- Practical workshops dedicated to the integration of ESG data and sustainable management tools;
- Sessions for sharing experiences and best practices among representatives of institutions, academia, and business.
The conference aims to create a space for international dialogue, promote the application of sustainable standards in corporate and public practice, and unite the expert community around a shared vision for a sustainable future.
