Between April 19 and 25, Prof. Nadia Velinova-Sokolova visited the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. The visit was organized at the invitation of the university, with which Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, and in particular its Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, have maintained long-standing cooperation.
During the visit, Prof. Nadia Velinova-Sokolova delivered a series of lectures on “Analysis and Valuation of Financial Instruments” to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. The topic attracted significant interest and was followed by a discussion on investment methods and mechanisms related to various financial instruments, as well as risk assessment.
Prof. Velinova-Sokolova also met with her doctoral students from the same university, for whom she serves as an international mentor. The discussions focused on opportunities for preparing joint publications in indexed and peer-reviewed journals, as well as on issues related to the topics of their doctoral dissertations.
During her stay, Prof. Velinova-Sokolova also met with colleagues from the Department of Finance. Opportunities for joint participation in international scientific conferences were discussed. The visit is expected to contribute to the further expansion of the internationalization process of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University.
