The course “Raising a Nation”, which offers participants the opportunity to explore some of the most influential theories and practices in global economic growth, is now open for applications. It is part of the so-called “Harvard Courses” offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and is being held for the sixteenth consecutive year.

“Raising a Nation” is based on a Harvard University program and covers theoretical models and case studies that help students understand and apply growth and development theories. The course seeks to answer key questions such as:

• Why are some countries rich while others remain poor?
• What economic policies can change this?
• What factors and forces explain the differences in economic growth rates between countries?

Lectures are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM in Room 304 at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University.

The program is open to all ambitious and curious individuals.
Lectures are conducted entirely in English, and participation is free of charge.

• A short essay on the topic “What are your career aspirations? How will the CESC courses help you achieve them?”
• A curriculum vitae (CV)
• A list of university courses completed to date, along with grades (an academic transcript is also acceptable).
