From 24 to 26 June, the 18th International Scientific Conference "E-Governance & E-Communications" was held. The conference is a well-established academic forum organized by the Faculty of Management of the Technical University of Sofia as part of the Days of Science at the Technical University of Sofia.
A research team from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University presented a paper entitled "Integrative Trends in Higher Education (Support through Gamification)". The authors of the paper are Prof. D.Sc. Tsvetan Davidkov, Assoc. Prof. Olympia Vedar, PhD, Georgi Dimov (PhD student), and Margarita Todorova (Master's student).
The paper explores contemporary approaches to improving higher education through the effective integration of various elements of the educational environment. The authors argue that strengthening interdisciplinary links alone is insufficient to meet the challenges facing modern universities. Instead, a new integrative design and a comprehensive approach to managing the educational process are required, including the purposeful application of gamification.
The paper was presented by Prof. D.Sc. Tsvetan Davidkov, the lead researcher of the team. Owing to the relevance and significance of the topic for higher education, the paper was selected for presentation during the conference's plenary session, featuring keynote contributions. The highly positive feedback received confirms once again the high scientific standards of the research team and FEBA's contribution to the advancement of innovative educational practices.
Participation in prestigious scientific forums continues to strengthen the reputation of FEBA, Sofia University, and the Technical University of Sofia as leading institutions for education, research, and cultural development.
