Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) are invited to take part in the Second International Economics Olympiad “Ultimate League for Mastery in Applied Economics” (ULMA), organized by the Institute of Economics at Ulm University, Germany.

The competition will take place on 16 January 2026 in a hybrid format — on campus at Ulm University and online via Zoom — from 12:00 to 14:00 CET. The Olympiad will be conducted in English and is open to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students.

Last year’s edition brought together participants from 25 countries and nearly 30 universities. The goal is to foster international academic exchange, a spirit of friendly competition, and excellence in applied economics.

The competition will be held individually in three separate tracks — Bachelor, Master, and PhD — covering topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and finance. Each university may nominate up to four students. The duration of the Olympiad is 100 minutes.

Registration is already open, and the deadline to sign up is 7 January 2026.

All participants will receive a certificate, and the top-performing students in each track will be awarded monetary prizes.
