On April 25, 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” welcomed prospective students and their parents as part of its traditional Open Day. The event was marked by exceptionally high interest and created an inspiring and dynamic atmosphere for all attendees.

The official opening was delivered by Prof. Dr. Eleonora Stancheva-Todorova, Operational Director of the Career Center and a lecturer in the Department of Finance and Accounting. In her welcome address, she emphasized the importance of high-quality economic education and the wide range of opportunities the Faculty offers for both academic and professional development.

Leading faculty members from various departments actively participated in the event, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivanka Mihaylova from the Department of Business Administration; Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Stoyan Shalamanov, Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Rositsa Zlatinska, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Radostina Ivcheva-Georgieva from the Department of Economics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desislava Kalcheva from the Department of Industrial Economics and Management; as well as Adriana Branicheva, a representative of the student organizations “Business Club” and FEBA Alumni Club.

During the presentations, prospective students received detailed information about the bachelor’s degree programs offered by the Faculty:

  • “Business Administration” – taught in English, German, and French
  • “Economics and Finance” – taught in English and French
  • “Accounting, Finance and Digital Applications” – taught entirely in English
  • “International Trade and Investment” – taught entirely in English

In addition to the academic content, key aspects such as admission requirements, opportunities for financial support, participation in international programs like “Erasmus+” and diverse career prospects were also presented.

A particularly strong impression was made by the active dialogue between prospective and current students. In an informal setting, visitors had the opportunity to ask questions and gain authentic insights into the learning process, faculty, and student life.

The event once again reinforced the Faculty’s reputation as a modern, open, and forward-looking academic environment that attracts motivated young people with ambitions for development in the fields of economics, finance, and business.
