The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” has founded an International Advisory Board (IAB) – a key body that will support the faculty’s leadership in establishing itself as an international educational, research, and public center.
The IAB was elected on 4 November 2025 and held its first meeting on 1 December 2025. The Board includes seven distinguished leaders with international academic and corporate experience and will serve a term from 2025 to 2028.
The International Advisory Board has a fully consultative role, providing opinions and recommendations to the faculty’s management. It will contribute to increasing the practical applicability and public relevance of education; strengthening the links between academia and practice; formulating strategic directions for the faculty’s development; assessing the international standing and reputation of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration; building a sustainable network of partners and supporters.
The Board is expected to include between 5 and 11 members with a three-year term, nominated by the Dean and approved by the Faculty Council. The Board will meet at least four times a year. At each meeting, the IAB will mandatorily review the status of the MBA programs. The goal is for the structure to devote sufficient time to analysis, proposals, and actions related to their development – a key process for maintaining high quality and international accreditation.
The IAB will support partnerships with international academic institutions and employers, assist in promoting the achievements of the faculty, and propose initiatives for improving the quality of education, internships, and interaction with the business sector.
