The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev is among the contributors to an academic book by the Institute of Regional Openness and Cooperation at Sun Yat-sen University, China. The book, titled “Open Cooperation and Development Report (2025): Global Value Chain Reconstruction and the Belt and Road Open Cooperation” was presented during a seminar held on October 12 in China, with the participation of experts and scholars from around the world.
The publication, issued by the China Social Science Press, was presented by Prof. Mao Yanhua, Director of the Institute of Regional Openness and Cooperation at Sun Yat-sen University.
During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev delivered a presentation on the topic “Opportunities for Cooperation between China and the CEE Countries”.
The cooperation between Sofia University and Sun Yat-sen University, China, was established through the Center for Chinese Economy and Politics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), represented by Prof. Dr. Econ. Sc. George Chobanov, Director of the Center, and Prof. Mao Yanhua , Director of the Institute of Regional Openness and Cooperation at Sun Yat-sen University.
In recent years, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgiev, as Dean of FEBA, has participated in the collaboration through guest lectures and joint research initiatives.
