Prof. Tzifun delivered a lecture before students of the Faculty of Chemistry before the meeting with the Rector. Prof. Ilchev expressed his interes in the lecture and commented that there was a growing interest in economics, finance, ICT, but not in chemistry. Therefore Sofia University elaborates on designing contemporary programmes such as nanotechnologies and biochemistry.

The discussions were directed towards the programmes for international students, delivered in foreign languages. Prof. Ilchev stated that they are a priority for Sofia University as the Bulgarian language is among the less spoken ones. This is also the field for collaboration to be explored, he said: the design of a programme European Studies taught in Chinese by Bulgarian professors.

Prof. Tzifun also saw the Aula and was impressed by the interesting talk by Prof. Ilchev about its history.
