The long-awaited teaching pack in Bulgarian History was officially presented in Hall 1, Sofia University, on 18th September.
The material is grouped in five sections - Migration, State Policy and Human Rights, Bulgarian Diversity, the city and everyday life, the history of integration of the Turkish-Bulgarian population and state policies towards multiculturalism from the 19th Century onwards.
The officials were given a copy of the modern learning material. The aim of the book is to encourage learning history through different perspectives, allowing for debating on the presented original materials: documents, maps, pictures, diagrams; notably, no authored text is presented in the book.
The product resulted from a three-year project EUROCLIO/MATRA under the motto "European Dialogue, Cultural Rainbow for the Future; an inclusive and international approach for the learning and teaching history in Bulgaria".
The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Holland.
