Prof. Ilchev shared with the audience and the media his views on the opportunities for development for the Doctoral and Post-Doctoral students. He pointed out the suggestions for the changes in the Law for Higher Education proposed by Sofia University, one of which is to include the Post-Doctoral studies in the formal educational curriculum. He also stated his opinion that flexible doctoral education should be introduced and the Faculty of History project is a step towards this.

The Dean of the Faculty of History Assoc. Prof. Plamen Mitev declared that the traditions of the faculty in doctoral education facilitated the realization of such projects which finance the science. The successful participation of young specialists in scientific conferences, forums and events define the importance of investing in the doctoral and post-doctoral education, added one of the managers of the project Collegium Historicum, Assoc. Prof. Ivan Purvev.

Beneficiaries of the project shared their experience and the challenges they had had working on the project. During the discussion, some solutions of the problems and administrative procedures were discussed. A virtual network is one of the products of the project, which will include a scientific calendar for national and international scientific events, space for discussing the theses, as well opportunities for publishing.
