An open lecture on "Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research and International Arctic Science" delivered by Prof. Chuck Kennicutt, President of SCAR
'The global warming is a problem of all people, and the scientists are the first to raise the warning flags on its impact on the society', said the scientist. Fours international programmes coordinated by SCAR took place; one of the participating countries was Bulgaria.

The lecture was attended by Prof. Hristo Pimpirev - Director of the National Center for Arctic Research, Bulgarian scientists, who took part in polar expeditions, and students of Geology.
