21st National Arctic Expedition ended successfully

Having closed down the camp "St. Kliment Ohridski" for the winter, our last six engineers and two Portuguese scientists successfuly boarded the Spanish ship, the Hesperides.

This afternoon they are expected to land the island King George, where the young biologists Ralitza Zidarova and Blagoy Uzunov. According to the scarce information, there was an accident during the leaving of the camp, which almost cost the luggage of one of the boats. The coast near the Bulgarian camp is rocky and even a small wind causes serious problems to the boats. Due to the low budget, which covers only traver food and fuel expenses, there is still no pier at the spot. The eight people will return in two groups: on 8th and 10th March.
