On May 30th, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration hosted the event "Practical Advice for Starting Work". During the event, the KPMG Bulgaria team acquainted students from various universities with useful practices from the world of labor law.

In the one-hour event, students received information about the main types of employment contracts and the differences between them, the different types of benefits from the National Social Insurance Institution, probation periods, obligations to adhere to labor discipline, and the grounds for termination of an employment contract. Additionally, detailed information was provided regarding the calculations and deductions on a payslip and how students can correctly interpret it.

The speakers, Veselina Stankova, a partner at KPMG Bulgaria and head of the team dealing with individual taxation, and Emil Evtimov, Director of Legal Consulting Services at KPMG Bulgaria, shared examples from their professional experience, thus linking legal matters with real business situations from practice.

The event was held in partnership with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration to inspire young people to be informed and to take confident steps in their career paths.
