Faculty members, researchers, and doctoral students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" participated in the International Conference on Remote Engineering and Virtual Instrumentation REV 2026, which brought together scholars and experts from various countries working in the fields of digital technologies, education, artificial intelligence, and innovation.

As part of the scientific programme, Professor Neviana Krasteva, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Dr. Aleksey Potebnya, Assistant Professor Teodor Daskalov, and doctoral student Tinka Churkova presented a joint scientific paper entitled "AI-Supported Gamified Reflection for Personal Branding Development in Early Career Researchers: A Pilot Study". The study explores the possibilities for integrating generative artificial intelligence into the professional development processes of early career researchers through the use of gamified and reflective learning approaches.

The presented research analyzes a pilot model for personal brand development among researchers at the beginning of their academic careers. The model combines elements of gamification, structured reflection, and support from generative artificial intelligence within a learning process oriented toward the formation of professional identity, the enhancement of motivation, and the clearer articulation of the participants' scientific profiles. The results indicate positive tendencies with regard to the perceived clarity of professional identity, confidence in scientific self-presentation, and participant engagement in the process of professional development.

Particular emphasis in the study is placed on the concept of collaboration between humans and artificial intelligence within the context of Industry 5.0. The authors argue for the necessity of a human-centered approach to the use of artificial intelligence, in which technologies support reflection, self-awareness, and professional development without replacing human autonomy, authorship, and critical thinking.

The participation of the representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in the conference contributed to the presentation of the faculty's scientific achievements to the international academic community and to the development of cooperation in the fields of digital innovation, educational technologies, and research on human-artificial intelligence interaction.

The scientific research and participation in the conference were realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science through the National Science Fund under a project funded within the Competition for Fundamental Scientific Research 2024 under Contract No. KP-06-N85/3 of 5 December 2024. The support provided by the National Science Fund creates opportunities for conducting high-quality scientific research, for the active participation of Bulgarian researchers in international scientific forums, and for strengthening the position of the Bulgarian scientific community within the European and global research landscape.

Participation in REV 2026 is further evidence of the active research activity of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and of its contribution to the development of contemporary interdisciplinary approaches that combine management sciences, educational innovation, and artificial intelligence.
