The Centre for Slavo-Byzantine Studies “Prof. Ivan Dujčev”, Sofia University organises with the Institute of Oriental Philosophy, Tokyo, an international conference at Sofia university from 24th to 25th November, 2011.
It is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Centre for Slavo-Byzantine Studies “Prof. Ivan Dujčev” and 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Oriental Philosophy.
The conference starts on 24th November, at 09:30 in Hall 2 and includes 40 presentations in two sections. It gathers scientists from Austria, Albania, Germany, Greece, Italy, Serbia, Japan and Bulgaria. The honorary insignia Doctor Honoris Causa will be awarded to Dr Yochi Kawada, Director of the Institute of Oriental Philosophy on 25th November, at 2 p.m. in the Aula.
The forum is a result of the collaboration between the two institutions and the contacts of the scientists of the two countries.
