On 10 November 2025, as part of the course “Management and Development of Organizational Culture” led by Prof. Dr. Tsvetan Davidkov, students from the Master’s programme “Human Resource Management and Development” at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” had the opportunity to meet with the Managing Director and owner of HILL International Bulgaria, Ms. Irena Zhoteva.

During the session, Ms. Zhoteva shared valuable practical insights from the leading consultancy company specializing in human resource management and executive search. She presented the key processes within the organization – from strategic partnership with clients to the selection and development of professionals for middle and senior management roles.

The discussion highlighted the importance of understanding a client’s organizational culture when identifying suitable candidates, as well as achieving the right balance between professional competencies and personal qualities. Students had the chance to ask questions and discuss real cases from the practice of HILL International Bulgaria, turning the meeting into an interactive and inspiring dialogue between academia and the business community.

Ms. Zhoteva emphasized that successful human capital management requires not only an analytical approach but also the ability to build trust – both with client organizations and with candidates seeking to join them.

The event was part of the Faculty’s ongoing initiatives aimed at enriching students’ education through exposure to real-world business experience and best practices.
