On October 25, 2025, the Career Center at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” hosted a National Design Thinking workshop organized by the Education 5.0 Foundation as part of Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow program.
The event brought together over 100 students and teachers from various cities across Bulgaria — including Vratsa, Karlovo, Troyan, Lyaskovets, Dobrich, Pazardzhik, Varna, and Sofia. Participants worked in teams to develop technology-based solutions addressing sustainable development, social challenges, and personal finance management.
The workshop was opened by Prof. Eleonora Stancheva-Todorova, PhD, Executive Director of the Career Center, who welcomed the participants and encouraged them to use creative thinking as a tool for building a better future. The training session, led by Dr. Magdanela Delinesheva from the Education 5.0 Foundation, introduced students to the Design Thinking process and its stages through hands-on exercises and discussions.
The jury panel included Prof. Eleonora Stancheva-Todorova, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Katsarski, PhD, from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, along with Ms. Rositsa Vartonik, Executive Director of the Financial Literacy Initiative Foundation.
The winning teams were:
- Cybereye from 108 Secondary School “Nikola Belovezhdov”, Sofia – First place
- BandMate from the Secondary School of Humanities and Arts “Konstantin Preslavski”, Varna
- TechNova from the Private Vocational High School of Tourism and Entrepreneurship “Rayko Tsonchev”, Dobrich
