The Female Entrepreneurship Lab at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University “St. Kl. Ohridski”, is launching a competition for women with innovative and sustainable business ideas in the energy sector.

Under the title “Women Driving Carbon Neutrality: Business Ideas with a Future in the Energy Sector”, the initiative seeks to recognize concepts that address significant challenges in the energy sector, demonstrate potential for sustainability and social impact, and showcase creativity alongside a strong understanding of market needs.

The competition is open to women who are students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral programs, as well as alumni of the FEBA with a background in economics or energy-related fields. Participants may apply individually or in teams of up to 5 members.

This competition addresses the underrepresentation of women entrepreneurs in the energy sector by offering a platform for them to showcase their potential and innovative ideas in a supportive and competitive environment. It aims not only to highlight the most promising concepts but also to foster opportunities for participants to build valuable networks and gain resources for the further development of their projects.

The initiative is part of the Net-Zero Lab Project, which focuses on strengthening Bulgarian academic capacity to develop and implement net-zero solutions.
