On October 13, 2024, in room 315 of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University, the opening event of the 4th Professional Orientation Week "Careers in CSR/ESG" took place. The goal was to introduce students to various software solutions supporting companies' non-financial reporting.
Petya Dekova, Dinka Toleva, and Alexander Petkov from ICAP CRIF kicked off the discussion, focusing on smaller enterprises that either do not want or cannot afford complex software solutions. They presented the Synesgy platform, where companies can evaluate their environmental, social, and governance sustainability, as well as the efficiency of their partners and suppliers.
Smilen Milanov introduced the ESG platform, an innovative and accessible tool that connects users with current resources in the ESG field. The platform links organizations seeking know-how with experienced ESG consultants, rating developers, auditors, fund managers, and investors looking for sustainable growth opportunities. It also offers tools for measuring, analyzing, and integrating ESG criteria into business or investment portfolios.
A different but equally important perspective was shared by Lyubomir Blagoev and Tihomir Blagoev. They presented SmartDocman, an integrated platform for the technological and software design of complex systems that process unstructured data. It creates a comprehensive administrative information system that fully complies with the requirements of the E-Government Act.
Karel Kotun from Greenometer, powered by UBB, showcased the platform's capabilities for automated data structuring and processing, as well as the automatic generation of non-financial reports that meet all current requirements and standards. A special emphasis was placed on the integration of artificial intelligence into the process.
Vanya Yordanova and Desislava Bulgaranova introduced students and specialists in the room to the software solutions of Balkan Services, designed for consolidating, summarizing, and analyzing ESG indicators across various structures under the umbrella of larger organizations (such as holdings and multinational companies).
Gergana Papadopoulou presented the Oxygen platform, an initiative by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and Financial Market Services, aimed at the efficient and transparent reporting of sustainable practices by Bulgarian companies. The platform offers Bulgarian businesses the ability to report on the environmental, social, and governance aspects of their operations.
The demonstrations sparked discussions with numerous questions from students and professionals in the room, covering a broader range of topics.
