A competition on the topic "Challenges and Opportunities in Corporate Income Taxation in Bulgaria" will be organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the platform connecting young talents and businesses @-GORA, with the support of the Master's programs "Economics and Management of Public Resources", "Customs and Tax Control" and "Accounting and Audit".

The competition is held in partnership with the law firm "Tabakov, Tabakova & Partners" and "Chronika" Ltd., a company providing accounting and tax services.

The competition is open to participation from:

• All students studying in the fields of Economics and Law from any university or college in Bulgaria and abroad, regardless of the level or form of study;
• Young professionals up to 30 years old with knowledge and interest in tax law and tax consulting.
  

The goal of the competition is to provide an opportunity for students and recent graduates up to 30 years old, with interests in tax law and consulting, to showcase their potential and establish professional contacts with leading experts in the field.

Application deadline: The competition is open for applications from October 15 to November 30, 2024.

The following prizes will be awarded:

• 1st prize: 500 BGN
• 2nd prize: 300 BGN
• 3rd prize: 200 BGN

The competition partners will also provide additional prizes for selected participants:

• Professional literature in the field of tax law, provided by the law firm "Tabakov, Tabakova & Partners"
• Paid internship, provided by "Chronika" Ltd. – a company offering accounting and tax services.

To participate in the competition, prepare and submit an essay on the given topic through your profile (as an attached file). If you are not registered on the platform, create a talent profile first (a-gora.com).

The authors of the best essays will be invited to present them to a jury, which will determine the winner and the prize recipients based on the presentation.

The presentation and awarding of the winners will take place in January 2025.

The award ceremony will be part of an official event, to which all participants in the competition are invited.
