The festive opening of the new academic year is going to take place on October 1, 2024, at 2:30 PM in the Aula of the Rectorate of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, located at 15 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd.

• Welcome speech by Mrs. Adriana Branicheva – Chairperson of the Business Club, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration

The festive day will continue at 5:00 PM at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (125 Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd., Block 3). The new students will be able to receive their student books and meet their lecturers, as follows:

• 5:00 PM, Room 400 – “Business Administration” (English, French, and German programs)
• 5:00 PM, Room 300 – “Economics and Finance” (English and French programs)
• 5:00 PM, Room 200 – “Accounting, Finance, and Digital Applications” (English program)
• 6:00 PM, Room 523 – Meeting of the “Economics and Finance” (French program) and “Business Administration” (French program) with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sonya Georgieva, Head of the French Program in Economics and Management
• 6:00 PM, Room 320 – Meeting of the “Business Administration” (German program) with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bozhidar Nedev, Coordinator of the German Program

At 6:30 PM, a cocktail will be organized, sponsored by the Alumni Club and the MBA programs of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, which will take place in front of the faculty building. The "Dixieland All Stars" band, along with talented faculty students, will ensure the good mood of all students, faculty, and friends.

In connection with the opening of the new academic year and the planned initiatives, October 1, 2024, will be a non-teaching day for all students in the “Bachelor” and “Master” programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Classes will commence on October 2, 2024 (Wednesday).
