Within the TWIN4ECO project, financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at "St. Kliment Ohridski" Sofia University organises a "Green Energy Transition" summer school. The event is going to take place between 24th and 28th September in Sofia.

The "Green Energy Transition" summer school is aimed at PhD students, young scholars and researchers with interests in the field of energy transition, decarbonisation and renewable energy resources. There is a special focus on Integrated energy systems and modelling training. Over the course of the five-day training, participants will have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge about innovative technologies, market mechanisms and modelling instruments which are of key importance for achieving a climate-neutral energy system.

The programme will include lectures, seminars and discussions lead by experts in the field of energy and sustainable development like Prof. dr. sc. Neven Duic, Prof. Juha Kiviluoma, Irena Beloreshka, Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev and Chief Assist Prof. Mariya Trifonova, PhD, from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and experts from leading tech companies who will present leading energy modelling systems such as PLEXOS, IRENA, FlexTool, MESSAGE. The last day of the summer school will include a visit to an energy site where participants will have the chance to see the implementation of the sustainable energy technologies and solutions in practice.
