In line with the objectives of the TWIN4ECO project aimed at increasing the research and administrative capacity of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’ Sofia University, a research seminar on strategic planning was held in June. It was organised with the help of the international business education accreditation institution AACSB International.
Prof. Ron Tuninga, Vice-President and Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at AACSB International, was the lecturer at the speciliased seminar. Forty members of the teaching and administrative staff at FEBA participated in the event.
The research seminar on effective strategic planning aims to support the efforts of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration to receive prestigious business accreditations from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD Global), which are the next steps after having successfully been awarded accreditation by the International Association of MBA Business Schools (AMBA).
Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University, defined the event as the Faculty’s firm commitment to provide high quality education and opportunities for professional development to students and the community. The ambition of the Faculty is to achieve the highest standard in educational and research activities, and the initiatives under the TWIN4ECO project, financed within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, shall have a significant contribution to that.
