The event was organised in collaboration with the Centre for Eastern Languages and Studies, Club "Friends of India" and the Indian Embassy.

The book seeks the answers of some of the questions about the Asian musical cultures and their interaction with the Bulgarian culture. The research is a result of personal experience and scientific analysis of musical processes and phenomena. The aim was some regions of the musical culture of Asia to be presented alongside with the related events. They are shown from the point of view of traditions and theory, as well as their contemporary aspects.

The contents covers theoretical, historical and ethnographic-musical aspects in order to provide a rich foundation for comparison and analogy.
