The Role
The Accounting Intern will support the finance team in daily operations and gain practical exposure to international accounting standards within the renewable energy sector. This position is ideal for students looking to apply their academic knowledge in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day accounting operations, including invoice processing, data entry, and basic account reconciliations.
- Assist with the month-end close activities, such as preparing schedules, supporting accruals, and updating reconciliation files.
- Help maintain accurate financial records by organizing documentation and supporting balance sheet account reviews.
- Support VAT and compliance-related tasks, including data collection and preparation of supporting documents.
- Collaborate with the finance team on ad-hoc analysis and process improvement tasks.
Key Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
- Experience: Previous internship or relevant coursework in accounting/finance is an advantage
- Technical skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles, good Excel skills; ERP exposure (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus
- Languages: Fluent English and Bulgarian
- Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, good organizational skills, and ability to work in a team environment
