Position
- Title: Information Technology Infrastructure Assistant
- Location: U.S. Embassy Sofia, Bulgaria
- Salary (based on grade):Grade 6: BGN 28,800 per year (gross)
- Grade 7: BGN 33,929 per year (gross)
- Grade 8: BGN 37,935 per year (gross)
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Contract Type: Permanent (subject to probationary period)
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including PCs, servers, networks, software, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Respond to IT inquiries and resolve issues to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Communicate IT updates and guidelines to Embassy staff.
- Manage and support Microsoft Active Directory, Windows servers, VMware, PBX systems, mobile device management (MDM), and network infrastructure.
- Provide support for Apple macOS/iOS and Android devices.
- Document issues, resolutions, and implement innovative solutions.
Requirements
Education:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Grade 6: 1 year of experience in network/computer systems or IT support.
- Grade 7: 2 years of experience in network/computer systems or IT support.
- Grade 8: 3 years of experience in network/computer systems or IT support.
Languages:
- Bulgarian: Fluent (Level 4) - speaking, reading, writing, and translating.
- English: Good working knowledge (Level 3) - speaking, reading, and writing.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Expertise in IT operations, infrastructure support, and end-user support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server platforms, VMware, and PBX systems.
- Experience with mobile device management, macOS/iOS, and Android troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg when needed.
